Dr Arun Abraham, MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ - Consultant Cardiologist, Multi-modality Cardiovascular Imaging
 
Dr Abraham completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2006 before relocating to the University of Ottawa (Canada) where he completed a Fellowship in cardiac Imaging, and Clinical Investigator Fellowship of the University of Ottawa. He then did a Fellowship in Cardiac MRI at the National Institute of Health, Bethesda U.S.A. He has completed fellowship training in Cardiac CT, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology including PET, and Cardiac MRI. Dr Abraham is Level B certified in Cardiac CT (highest level) in Australasia, and also holds American Board Certifications in cardiac CT, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography.
 

Dr Neil Cumpston, MBBS(Adel), FRACP, FSCA&I - Cardiologist

Neil is a Consultant Cardiologist and has clinical sessions at CVS . He has a 30 year background in cardiology and 20 years in the cardiology specialty of angiography. Neil trained at the Universities of Western Australia and South Australia completing his residency at Royal Perth and Princess Margaret Hospitals.

 

Dr Philip Currie , MBBS, FRACP, MBA - Cardiologist and Echocardiographer

Philip is the principal specialist and the founder of CVS. He has a 20 year background in cardiology both in the United States and Australia and is at the cutting edge of the cardiology subspecialty of echocardiography.

Pasko is a cardiologist at CVS and currently is involved in clinical consultation, cardiac catheterisation and non-invasive testing. Pasko graduated from the University of Sarajevo School of Medicine and completed his residency in the Emergency Department University of Sarajevo and then Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in Belgrade.

Paul is a Consultant Cardiologist who has clinical sessions at CVS. He has special interests in acute coronary care, heart failure therapy and cardiovascular risk factor management. He performs cardiac pacing and cardiac catheterisation at Hollywood Private Hospital and St John of God Hospital, Subiaco.

Dr Kushwin Rajamani, MB BCh, FRACP, PhD - Cardiologist and Cardiac Electrophysiologist
Kushwin Rajamani completed medical school in 2003, obtaining an honours degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. After completing his internship he relocated to Australia. He completed his basic and advanced physician training in Cardiology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney in 2011. Thereafter he pursued his PhD studies in diabetes and cardiovascular disease at the Heart Research Institute, Sydney. He undertook a year of clinical fellowship in cardiac electrophysiology at Westmead Hospital, Sydney and proceeded to the Cleveland Clinic, USA to obtain a further 2 years of training in this field. He has performed more than 600 ablation procedures, implantation of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation therapy devices. He has now returned to Australia to provide a high standard of care in both general cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology.

Dr Shakeeb Razak, MBBS, FRACP - Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiologist
Dr. Shakeeb Razak completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Western Australia and his postgraduate cardiology training at Royal Perth Hospital. He undertook his fellowship training and research in clinical cardiac pacing and interventional electrophysiology at Royal Perth Hospital and overseas at University Hospital, London, Ontario, Canada.

Dr Ashok J Shah, , MBBS MD DM CCDS  - Cardiac Electrophysiologist
Dr Ashok J Shah gained his medical degree in 1998 from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara, India. He holds a doctoral degree in Cardiology from the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Mumbai (Bombay) University, India. Dr Shah completed his fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology from the Michigan State University and is registered with the board of Medicine, Michigan, USA. He is also a Certified Cardiac Device Specialist of the Heart Rhythm Society, USA. In 2009, Dr Shah joined the team of Professor Michel Haissaguerre in Bordeaux, France for advanced clinical electrophysiology training and research involving the genesis and management of complex arrhythmias. In 2011, he started working as a staff clinical electrophysiologist and researcher at Centre Hopitalier Universitaire (CHU) and L’Institut Rythmologie et Modeling Cardiaque (LIRYC) in Bordeaux.

 

Dr Stephen Shipton, M.B., Ch.B (Stellenbosch), M.R.C.P (London), FCPaed(SA), M.Med (Paed) (Stellenbosch), FRACP - Congenital Cardiologist
Dr Stephen Shipton completed his undergraduate medical studies at Stellenbosch University, South Africa, his paediatric training in Cape Town, South Africa and the United Kingdom, post graduate Paediatric Cardiology training in Cape Town, South Africa and in London and Interventional Congenital Cardiology fellowship in Glasgow UK.

 

Dr Yuli Ten, MBBS, FRACP, FCSANZ - Interventional Cardiologist
Dr Yuli Ten completed her undergraduate medical training at University of Western Australia and her postgraduate cardiology training at Royal Perth Hospital. Dr Ten undertook fellowship training in Heart Failure and Transplant at St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney which, is the premier heart failure unit in Australia. As well as, doing further cardiology training at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle and was a Harvard Clinical Research Fellow at the prestigious Brigham Women’s Hospital in Boston and completed a 2 year Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the prestigious Lenoxhill Hospital in New York with Gary Roubin MD.

 Dr Rukshen Weerasooriya - Cardiologist

Rukshen Weerasooriya graduated from UWA in 1994. Rukshen trained in all aspects of general cardiology at Royal Perth Hospital before undertaking subspeciality cardiac electrophysiology training at the world’s leading unit in Bordeaux, France. Rukshen has a particular interest in the invasive management of atrial fibrillation.
